Please note that we are unable to withdraw any abstracts from publication after the withdrawal deadline, Monday 15 June 2026.

The abstract submission deadline is Tuesday, 24 March 2026, 23:59 CET.

Please ensure that you have submitted any draft submissions by this deadline, or your abstract may be automatically rejected. We cannot accept draft abstract submissions.

The system will close at exactly 23:59 CET and you will lose any draft submissions that you are working on. You must have pressed ‘Submit’ before this time to save your submission progress.

The deadline is final and there will be no extensions to this.

We will be re-opening for new late-breaking abstract submissions on 27 April 2026 and closing this on 17 May 2026. The opening and deadline details will be communicated via the Meeting website and other marketing channels.

This submission period will allow for the submission of truly late-breaking, novel and high-impact scientific research for which results were not available at the time of the original submission deadline (Tuesday, 24 March 2026, 23:59 CET). Late-breaking abstracts should present data, which is high impact, innovative, and newsworthy.

Please note that

  1.  this must not be treated as an extension to the original abstract deadline.
  2.  Abstracts accepted for the late breaking sessions will not be included in the published abstract book for the Meeting.
  3. There are only a small number of Oral Communication and Rapid Communication sessions for late breaking submissions, and these will be given to papers which are truly the latest, novel, high-impact research.

You will not be able to submit a previously started draft or placeholder submission, but you will be able to start a new submission.

A condition of abstract submission to our Meeting is that at least the designated presenting author registers and pays to attend the Meeting, if their abstract is accepted.

Please check that this is possible BEFORE submitting your abstract. More information on registration can be found on the registration page.

Any person submitting an abstract and not attending will be automatically excluded from future ESPE Meetings and their abstract will not be published.

You will be notified of your abstract’s acceptance or rejection in early June 2026This notification will be sent to the email address that you used to submit your abstract.

Yes! We encourage our abstract authors to submit their work as full papers to scientific journals. The European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) only holds copyright on accepted conference abstracts, so you can write a full paper to submit to another journal.

We strongly advise against submitting the same abstract to another conference concurrently, as if both are accepted then each conference’s copyright may be breached upon publication. It is worth checking this with the other conferences before submitting.

If you do continue to submit, we would advise re-writing the abstract or adding in new data.

All accepted abstracts submitted by the original submission deadline will be published by S. Karger AG.

Hormone Research in Paediatrics is an open-access, fully citable collection of all the abstracts presented at the meeting.

Articles may also be archived in PubMed Central if the journal is indexed there.

By submitting your abstract, you are assigning copyright of the abstract text to the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) and S. Karger AG (publisher of the Journal).

If your abstract is rejected or you withdraw before the withdrawal deadline, copyright will transfer back to you.

The copyright for posters and presentations remains with the authors.

For any other queries, please contact the meeting team at espe-abstracts@interplan.de.
